I'm in my mid-50's and I was a Seabee in the Navy Reserves from 2003-2011. I did one easy deployment to Kuwait (spent most of my time at Camp Buehring) in 2007. I just realized this year that I'm covered by VA health benefits- so I recently got assigned to a primary care physician at a VA clinic nearby.

Any other veterans?

Have you ever looked into VA health care? It's worked out pretty well for me so far. I imagine my deployment was much different than yours - I had it pretty easy - I never felt like I was in danger.
