It seems the dynamic history of the universe is a long process of hydrogen, by means of gravity, fusing into heavier elements while releasing huge amounts of energy. If this perception is correct, eventually the material universe will decay into heavy elements, perhaps concentrated in super-sized black holes, spent of their remaining energy content. Perhaps these black holes will someday coalesce into single black hole and trigger another big bang. Eternal Recurrence? - CW
