Every humans now are like ADHD.
Welcome to our forum, Morning Star! Nice to meet you!
Yes, it is
a little like ADHD, in the sense that our attention spans are limited, and our concentration is easily broken. Actual ADHD is qualitatively different, though. It's like saying (of autism) "we're all a little bit 'on the spectrum'" — no, we are
not. ADHD, and autism too, are
qualitatively different from being 'neurotypical'.
Nevertheless, your point is a valid one. When I was growing up — many years ago, now — adults knew that one thing they needed to teach their kids was to lengthen their attention-span, to concentrate for longer. And they did teach me/us. When I asked (of a TV programme we were watching) what was going on, they started to reply "you've watched it, just as we have. Concentrate." And so on.
Today, in contrast, we don't teach children to attend or concentrate. Instead, we offer them learning in the form of fragments so tiny they don't have time to become distracted. I don't think this helps them or us.
Also, I wonder if meditation or mindfulness might contribute to attention and concentration?
