There is nothing you must do.
If you are choosing to do it, then, by definition, it's not something you must do.
Otherwise, (i.e. if you aren't choosing it), then it's not something you are doing.
It might be something your body is doing outside of your control, but, if it is truly out of your control, meaning it will happen no matter what you do, then it's not something you are doing.
This is why we say, "my heart beats," rather than say, "I beat my heart."
If you aren't choosing it then you aren't doing it. And, if you are choosing it, then, by definition, it's not something you must do; it's something you are choosing to do.
Spiritual slavery is a comforting but ultimately miserable and unfulfilling lie. You are spiritually free, whether you like it or not. All the spiritual chains, cages, prisons, slavemasters, and roadblocks are imaginary hellishness. The alcoholic is comforted with the lie, "I have to drink", rather than the happy free truth, "I am choosing to drink." The same goes for the overeating food addict or the cheating spouse an affair. Spiritually, you aren't ever really a slave. You are getting exactly what you want, meaning what you choose.
Happiness is accepting and loving that fact, rather than hiding from it in dishonest misery. While the miserable person miserably pretends they are slave that must do what they choose to do, the honest free-spirited person happily acknowledges that they are always in self-control, that they always get exactly what they want when it comes to their choices, and that they only ever do what they want to do and never ever do what they don't to do. What bliss! What invincible bliss!
The dishonest illusion of spiritual slavery (e.g. non-transcended addiction or being a slave to bodily feelings like fear or hunger, or judgmentally shoulding all over oneself) is hell on Earth, but its opposite (i.e. realized, honest spiritual freedom, a.k.a. self-discipline) is invincible heavenly bliss.
No matter what they do, and no matter what cards life throws their way, they happily say, "I am choosing to do this. And, when it comes my choices, I always get exactly what I want, meaning what I choose."
With love
