In the past few days, I've seen posts by others, awaiting approval, apparently asking me to approve them, or at least seeming to offer me the chance to approve them. I see "approve" and "don't approve" buttons above the message in question.

As I'm not a moderator, I assume this is some kind of mistake? Is there a glitch in this newly-updated forum feature?

It might not be a bad idea for someone to clarify how this approval feature has been updated, and how we are expected to act, as regards these approvals? Is the inclusion of external links now frowned upon? Some posts seem not to include links, but still require approval. Some clarification would be useful, I think?

As a premium member you have the ability to approve posts held in the moderation queue. This is not a recent change to the website, but rather is a recent change for you since you recently became a premium member.

The reasoning for that policy is this: As a premium member, if you are having a conversation with a member whose posts are held for a moderation, you can (if desired by you) read, approve, and reply to those posts right away without having to wait for a moderator to read and approve the post first.
