Premium membership?

I just looked at the Forum Index. Near the top was a message: "You are not a premium member". While it was there, I couldn't open any page other than the index. Then it went away, and now I can open pages as usual. Any ideas what this is all about?

It's come back again: "You are not a premium member". Is this a software glitch?

I have moved this topic from the "Lounge" to the "Feedback, Support & Forum Announcements" forum.
I was recently applying a software update so that is probably why you were unable to access some pages for a little bit. Everything seems to be working well now.
Premium members will no longer see the auto-generated Google ad in the header of the website.

Scott,
Please define and delineate "premium member". Am I or am I not?

Yes, it is a glitch, since you are a premium member.
If it happens again, please take a screenshot (or if possible a short video), and email that to me so I can debug it.
Sorry for the trouble!

You are not a premium member. Currently, you can purchase a lifetime premium membership for $100. If you want to do that, please do let me know.
I did also send out some emails about it over the last few months. If you didn't get those emails from me, you may want to double check your spam/junk folder, and check your email settings in
the UCP.

Thanks for the info. I shall think about it. What exactly do I get from the purchase?
