My introduction

Hello everyone,
Greetings from Connecticut, USA. I'm a professional approaching early retirement age, living a rather quiet and uneventful life up here in the woods of CT, and have recently taken up an interest in philosophy as a sort of hobby, something I now wish that I'd started many years ago. I've been doing a lot of unstructured reading on my own lately, but finding that to really understand philosophy requires the interaction and dialogue with other people - something I don't have very much access to from where I left out in the hills of rural New England. I've been looking for some time for a compatible group to participate with, and just recently stumbled onto this forum and followed a couple of threads. It seems like a good place to start and I'm hoping to be able to get involved in some interested discussions. I'm particular interested in metaphysics and epistemology, but as an amateur musician most of my life (classical piano) I also have a interest in aesthetics. I've also been exploring some of the philosophy of language (feeling an early affinity for Wittgenstein) - it's somewhat related to the work I do professionally, which is perhaps how my curiosity in this area got started in the first place.
Thanks everyone and look forward to speaking with some of you soon!
