If someone sees through the melting of an ice cube and tells you the future of human being, is this science or fortune telling? Is this related to philosophy? If it is, what is the philosophical link between our future and the melting of an ice cube? But is that what they are telling you? Many, if not most would disagree with you.

If someone sees through the melting of an ice cube and tells you the future of human being, is this science or fortune telling?Neither. It's bunk. Codswallop. Flapdoodle. No different than divining the future using chicken innards or astrology or similar.

If it is, what is the philosophical link between our future and the melting of an ice cube?Is the individual causally isolated from the fortune teller? If they are in conversation, what's to keep the individual from being contrary and intentionally doing something else? A so the question of "is it science" this refers to the method. If one finds that if one focuses one's mind on an ice cube, then one's intuitions become more clear, and these prove correct often, that would be a test of a sort and thus science of a sort.
