I don't know how many here are familiar with this band or this album (I believe Count Lucanor at least is), one of the better bands of the late 80's and early 90's.
Some albums I find myself going back to on repeat because they contributed something to how I hear music (Faith No More's Angeldust, this one - Jane's Addiction - Nothings Shocking, a handful of Suicidal Tendencies albums, Metallica's Master of Puppets, etc.).
Not sure what the critics will make of it who haven't heard it before but it's a strong showing and also IMHO reminds me of why I thought as highly of Dave Navarro's sound-pallet as I did.
Their album after this (Ritual De Lo Habitual) was good but really uneavenly unweighted - sort of like 'fun' punk-oriented tracks that would almost give Red Hot Chili Pepper's vibes up front and then the back half (Three Days, Then She Did, Of Course, Classic Girl) just being absolute depth monsters.

"The Montreaux Years" is the latest brilliant album from Marianne Faithfull, who hasn't put a (musical) foot wrong since 1980's "Broken English". "The Montreaux Years" is a live band album, and it's a joy to listen to. A remarkable legacy from a musician whose 'serious' career started quite late in life. Let's hope there will be more where this came from....
