Philosophy Discussion Forums | A Humans-Only Club for Open-Minded Discussion & Debate

Humans-Only Club for Discussion & Debate

A one-of-a-kind oasis of intelligent, in-depth, productive, civil debate.

Topics are uncensored, meaning even extremely controversial viewpoints can be presented and argued for, but our Forum Rules strictly require all posters to stay on-topic and never engage in ad hominems or personal attacks.

Discuss philosophical questions regarding theism (and atheism), and discuss religion as it relates to philosophy. This includes any philosophical discussions that happen to be about god, gods, or a 'higher power' or the belief of them. This also generally includes philosophical topics about organized or ritualistic mysticism or about organized, common or ritualistic beliefs in the existence of supernatural phenomenon.

Yes, but what is it that exists ? There is no essential Joshua or Belindi. There are bundles of experiences we name 'Joshua' or 'Belindi'.

The bundle of experiences named Joshua includes the experience of self. On the occasion of Joshua's death the Joshua bundle of experiences is no longer bundled and becomes part of absolute experience.

Or, as you have no proof of what you claim. The “I am” part of our nature just goes on existing.

The "I am " part of experience exists because we experience the "I am". Young babies, and most other animals do not experience self instead they behave instinctively.

Which ties perfectly into my suggestion that the I am,from experience, either has awareness of or doesn’t have awareness of the 2 consciousness states of “in the moment” and “out of the moment” and either CONTROLS it’s backwards and forwards transitions between these 2 states OR doesn’t.

if the “I am” doesn’t CONTROL these transitions then it happens anyway because that is how the physical cosmos operates.

Everything in the cosmos vibrates.

Player experiential science confirms this.

The “I am” does experience this backwards and forwards transition between the 2 consciousness states. It just does, however, I have always suggested that the “I am” must have 2 parts to its make up as well.

I would suggest that as the “I am” cannot be on just one side of the fence,it must be on the other as well, then there must be a
3rd part of our make up which is experiencing the transitioning.

I would suggest that inward only meditation which ALL of atheistic philosophy and science is based upon ultimately denies the very thing that decided to go inward in the first place into the out of the moment consciousness state COMPLETELY ignoring the in the in moment consciousness state.

I would suggest that inward only meditative reasoning is only 2D dualistic reasoning.

3D reasoning allows for SPIN.

We don’t live in a 2D cosmos,so why practice only 2D reasoning?

There are more than two states of consciousness according to clinical, and scientific categories.

"In the moment" and "Out of the moment" are unintelligible. My guess is that your phrases mean respectively temporal and eternal.

Literally, everything in the cosmos obviously does not vibrate. You should think of a more apt metaphor if you are to be understood.

Nobody here knows what you mean by "player experiential science". You had better explain more clearly or we will all stop reading your posts.

In “player experiential science” there are only two consciousness states. In the moment and Out of the moment.

All of atheistic philosophy and science is based upon “spectator non experiental science” and its findings originate from INWARD only “Out of the Moment” dualistic meditative practices.

INWARD/OUTWARD meditation is different. There is absolutely no point in going inward if you don’t then apply it to outward meditation.

We experience both the consciousness states so we shouldn’t ignore one of them.

I have explained this already.

It is impossible to cancel out the NATURES magnetic force interactions. They only give 2 attractions NS,SN and 2 repulsions NN,SS

Inorder to obtain a balance of sorts you require an S and N on both sides of the fence so to speak (or between 2 SPINNING electromagnetic particles).

The result being VIBRATION.

Vibrating hands is a symptom of Parkinson's disease. I'm happy my hands don't vibrate.

My balance is quite good possibly helped by Tai Chi.

My dog vibrates only when he growls.
