I tend to disagree with it and I believe there is a problem of evil in the world. One argument is that evil exists because humans have free will, which allows for genuine moral choices and personal growth. This freedom can lead to both good and evil actions, but it enables meaningful relationships and virtues that wouldn't be possible without the possibility of choosing wrong. Thus, the presence of evil can be seen as a necessary consequence of free will that ultimately contributes to greater goods and moral development. This is what I believe!

I think that the question is worth thinking over. The concept of "evil" can be found in the new testament with Satan. Though contextually, the serpent in some regards was not always viewed as inherently evil, but simply an aspect of nature or creation (see Psalm 104). Into modern times and even outside of Christianity, various faith and non-faith groups engage in the discussion of what evil is, and if there is a problem of evil, as well as what the solutions to that question, may or may not be.

The problem of evil questions how a good and powerful God can allow suffering and evil. Some believe evil is necessary for free will or personal growth. Others argue it contradicts the idea of a benevolent deity. Whether or not one thinks there’s a problem with evil depends on their beliefs about God and suffering.

I personally am an atheist so I would refrain from commenting on this.

I've read a few replies to this post, and many said that they believe there is evil, by Intuition or by religion. I agree with the former, that there is evil, and that belief stems mainly from religious teachings.

That said, the book also talked about how believing in an all powerful and all loving God who is completely good would also mean accepting that there is no problem of evil.

But contrary to the teachings of "God", believing in him also means acknowledging the presence of evil and it's existence. Basically, everything thing is as it "should" be, but only because we have been given a means to overcome the evil which exists today.

God's plan for humanity is quite different from what is today. Still, He is with us and has given humanity a way to return to what He originally intended for us.

There is evil, but by Gods grace, humanity cab overcome it and when we do, we will truly be able to say that "There is no problem of evil", but only when we have overcome it for ourselves. And the statement when said won't be a general statement, but simply an expression of our current position in the controversy between the forces of good and evil which are actually beyond our comprehension and total understanding.

The problem of evil is a complex philosophical issue. Some argue that evil challenges belief in an all-powerful, benevolent God, while others view it as part of free will or necessary for growth. Denying it oversimplifies human suffering and experience. To answer your question No I don't agree

I do agree there is a problem with evil and my Catholic faith and more than ten years of Bible Study identifies that there are people throughout the world that are seeding evil for the devil and I believe we are living in the End Times. Satan/Lucifer has supported the anti-Christ, possibly Donald Trump, and many false prophets that will lead the evil people in the final battle between good and evil. The evil people will lose and spend eternity in Hell.
