We should learn the value of assertive communication with our so-called others in space or our so-called others in time. Self-responsibility, self-discipline, and the principle of live and let live are the cornerstones of true happiness. Assertive means explicitly saying what we mean, being honest, having no unmet expectations, and being happy. These are great practical tips for life and represent a wholesome inner personality.

Being honest without expectations frees one's spirit, it has worked and continues to work for me with my relationship with others. Most of the times i have been in a misery, self reflection without bias revealed to me how my choice of communication contributed to it , always coming out in unassertive and aggressive forms.
