I agree that all addicts are slaves to whatever they're addicted. One major way to combat addiction is to first recognize that you're an addict. Another way is to communicate to an entrusted person about your addiction.

Sometimes is ego. Sometimes is passion. Sometimes is pleasure. Sometimes is desire. Any of it should be mindfully absorbed to know the difference between the subject of being enslaved and addicted. Trauma, PTSD, emotional events in one's life, parental abuse, and other people. Mentally ill which makes you to suicidal thoughts and actions. If you looking for happiness outside yourself in no good place, then you become a slave but in any emotional distress, I won't blame the actor. That person finds himself between the physical and the astral. He's in the battle of the mental plane. We all need help from others and others from us.

I have been on a toxic relationship where I just discovered recently is called bread crumbling. I kept craving their attention but got very little in return I became an addict. After leaving such a relationship and understanding what was going on. I am slowly but surely healing.

Whatever you went through, you needed only one thing, and the philosophy is 'love yourself first and you shall be loved. ' The attention is a desire and a fake passion for love. Putting yourself first doesn't mean you are egoistical, but love yourself deeply and you will be appreciated, so when they turn against you, you still have the biggest lover, ~YOU.

To be true, addiction is not the problem but what's causing the addiction to be frank and clear. It can be either good or bad. Are you addicted to reading? Are you addicted to junk food? Are you addicted to smoking? Are you addicted to music? Are you addicted to sex? This particular last one can be argumentative on your side but is part of it. Is the strong desire that comes from it. So take and watch the consequences and impacts of anything you start to put interest in. Who can argue for this?

Talk about human addiction. Does anyone here know the best steps to break free from any sort of addiction? Because I believe they should be, as humans favourite thing is solving the problems they engineered themselves . Is there a book for it, and why hasn't it been mainstreamed yet? I look forward to your replies.
