To say it again, in slightly different words, the more you drink comfort, the thirstier you get. This is when you have the soul's vessel is damaged and pours unfilled. It is so empty that adding more becomes unfulfilling unless you repair it.

So cigarettes are a comfort addiction? So just don't lite one up. I think that has to be a desire there not to lite one up. I like the taste and the body craves the flavor, creating the desire to lite one up. By the way, I smoke pipe tobacco or additive free only. I gave up the additives in them due to my health condition 20 years ago. The medical problem that occured, reversed itself. I actually did give them up for a short period of time.

Whenever you're soul is empty then you'll need something to fill out the void by engaging in an addictive mode, this would go on a spiral mode. Keep your inner self filled with the nourishment of Kokoro.

I am inspired to walk through the valley of the shadow of death, with a playful confident smirk. Bravery requires fear. We can't be brave unless we feel fear. I am happy because I do feel pain or discomfort. One won't learn to swim unless thrown in a deep pool of water. These words inspire me to participate and be involved in the manifold events of life. The underlying story of the play on the stage is the same for us. It's a beautiful play.

I agree that unconditional acceptance makes us invincible. When we start to love and accept everything, it is the true heaven. We will no longer be a slave to comforts and will not be addicted to them. When we keep on wishing prolonging our happiness, our thirst just grows on and we will never be satiated. We should learn to embrace the present while planning for the future.

Dear Scott,
You have a way with words that is arresting and conveys depth.
I especially like this statement: "...The more you drink comfort, the thirstier you get."
The expository that can be developed from this alone is great.
Thank you.
