"You have to accept the lies" (ketman). That's what people tell themselves on the way to tyranny.
Just wondering, does every conversation you have revolve around Donald Trump? Does he occupy every thought?
I think it was you who sought out clarification of what a far right-winger was, as well as mentioned Trump's name, no?
Me:
Oh absolutely! I didn't mean my answer to be disparaging in any way. The OP question has an excruciatingly obvious answer. It's kind of like saying is it my fault I'm a painter, Christian, racecar driver, and so on. We exist as creatures who make choices.
Nonetheless, I'm thinking your "circumstance" has broader implications. For instance, if one is influenced by his circumstances that would obviously have an impact on the choices one makes. And as such, one must make choices good, bad or ugly. What's the takeaway? Well one is to first 'know thyself'. And another is to educate oneself. As Maslow would say, life is both the discovery and uncovery of Being.
With respect to the OP, I am only guessing that the OP feels like a victim of some kind. You know, kind of like in far-right political debates!
You:
Well, again, I don't know what "far-right" means. Are there "far-right" groups that are racist? Sure. But the left calls everyone they don't happen to like "racist" and "far-right". And yet it is the left that want's segregation; it's the left that believes people are either good or bad based on skin color; it is the left that condemns whole groups based on categorical generalizations. That, by definition, is racism and it's prevalent in the mainstream media and accepted as normal. Raise a question and be denounced, shouted down, and kicked off social media.
Whom should I fear? The 6 rednecks in West Virginia who have a swastika in their garage, or the media apparatus that will show up in my driveway if I fail to swear fealty to the latest fake hate crime, or question obviously false history, or that Trump isn't just a loud-mouth a##hole, but a comic book supervillain, or fail to shut off my brain and pretend whatever they tell me?
Bible thumpers? Yes, but that's just a human fault. Human beings will always find something to twist, it might be religion, it might be whatever.
And so my friend, can you explain why
you mentioned
Trump in the first place?
Perhaps the answer to that question will also answer your concern

It seems you have much more to say about what your opponents say, do, and believe, than about your own views? You are an authority on the latter, but the former...?

3017 and pattern,
Since I said Trump's opponents are as bad as he is, that means the subject is Trump? I can't point out the media lies without that being a defense of Trump?
Is it possible to say that the media shouldn't lie and have that be the subject without it all being about Trump?
Pattern, my own view is that the media shouldn't lie, as I stated, but apparently you guys can only hear Trump in your heads .
3017 says lies are ok as long as they are bad for the orange man, yet I'm the fixated one?
Could you guys describe the physiological effects you experience when you hear the word Trump?

Sure:
Trump= Misogyny, adultery, lying, authoritarian, narcissistic, fraud, cheat, criminal, cult of personality (and crminality),... ad nauseum.
How's that sound?
Since this is a religious thread, tell us about the first one if you can! Is that fake news to you sir?

Consider this sentence: "The media shouldn't lie".
What is the subject of the sentence?
Ketman

The subject person is Trump. Who in turn is a person who lies. Is that what you mean?

I think I see the problem. The subject of the sentence "the media shouldn't lie" is "media". Yet you think the subject is Trump.
Could you explain why you think Trump is the subject of all sentences? And any physiological effects you feel when you hear his name? (you know what physiological means, right?)

Did the media (and the court system) cover that too?

Oh...since you're taking on water fast , let's add yet another lie and sink your failing ship of lies:
Didn't Trump say COVID was a hoax, a common cold, ingest a bleach substance or otherwise deny entirely, all happening on his watch? And did initial death's result from his inaction and/or incompetence about the subject matter as a result?
Please correct the record if you can!
Otherwise, back to the tread. Please explain his morals, and how misogyny, adultery and other character flaws relates to being a right wing conservative. You know, a party of law, order, and morals!

From a Religious Viewpoint, is it My Fault That I'm an Atheist?
No it's god's fault.
He made you.

3017,
It seems like you don't like Trump. Ok. Not sure who you're talking to.

I am British, not American. I despise Trump and all he stands for. I despise almost all American politicians*, and politics, almost as much. Please don't jump to conclusions. If you want to know what I think, ask me. I'll happily tell you.
* — The best of American politicians, that I know of, are Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren. And they still have some weird views...

The claim the media shouldn't lie has nothing to do with Trump yet no one on this thread can talk about anything other than Trump. Therefore, the "conclusion" was not "jumped to" it was stating an observation.
