Happiness depends on the person. Everyone has a different definition of happiness. For me happiness would be waking up everyday to either take pictures with my Grandpa and sell them, make a living from a creative life. For others that could be having lots of money, a fast car, a bigger house, or simply having a family, a home, a mode of transportation. Happiness depends on the person amd can change at anytime.

I do agree with this and have practiced it myself for many years. I used to be stuck both in the past of traumas, and in the future that I wanted for myself. This meant that the unhappy present, at that time, was filled with overworking two jobs and overindulgence on food, shopping and others. When we do this, we are masking our true happiness with temporary rewards, which make us feel more empty at the end of the day.
Living in the moment, however that may look like for each of us, will help us feel inner happiness and peace. I feel this when I feel calm and free of worries. Things like journalling, reading, and dancing help me feel truly happy.

The paragraphs from "In It Together: The Beautiful Struggle Uniting Us All" by Eckhart Aurelius Hughes emphasize the significance of finding happiness and inner peace in the present moment. The author suggests that building a habit of prioritizing inner peace and happiness now leads to a fulfilling future. Conversely, sacrificing inner peace for an imagined future results in unhappiness. Since we are always in the present, choosing to lack inner peace in the now means always lacking happiness. The message underscores the importance of valuing the present, as it is the only time we truly have. By embracing inner peace in the present, we lay the foundation for a joyful and harmonious future. These paragraphs remind us to appreciate the beauty of the here and now, as it holds the key to lasting happiness and inner peace.

Attaining inner peace and finding happiness in the present moment is a result of connecting with one's true self during a particular phase of personal development. This realization occurs when the right circumstances align, including a conducive atmosphere and perfect timing. Additionally, seizing suitable opportunities also contributes to discovering our authentic identity. However, sacrificing inner peace now for the sake of an imagined future reflects the ambition and restlessness of an individual.

I have a favourite quote: if you keep waiting for the right time to be happy, you'd never be happy. Over time, I've learned to be happy now, to feel fulfilled now and my approach to life has changed entirely. Instead believing that something or someone in the future is the key to my happiness in the future, I make the best of my now.

One thing I have learned about life so far is the fact that there is no lasting happiness. Happiness is usually fleeting because it comes with the present. Hence, true happiness can only be found when we enjoy and appreciate what we have now. Thinking about what is passed will lead to regret. Thinking about what lies ahead will lead to anxiety and even depression.

The vice versa is also true: sacrificing inner peace now for the sake of the imagined future tends to lead to an unhappy future too.

You are always in the present, meaning the here and now. It is only ever here and it is only ever now. Thus, if you build a habit of valuing the future over the now, and thereby choose to lack inner peace in the now, you always lack the happiness of inner peace because you always be in the now.
The most effective way to enjoy true happiness and inner peace in the future is to build the habit of being honest and performing whatever it is that you doing with full commitment. That will give us satisfaction and peace. It is easy to say this but at times very difficult to practice. On such occasions, we need to talk to ourselves and align ourselves back on to the right path. Most of the times, people fail to align and realize only when it is too late

I love this qoute and hope to remember this every day. I want to have peace and to be happy and to live my life to the fullest.

Enjoying the present is the only true gift time gave us. Why worry about the past that can't be changed or a future that isn't even promised. Albeit, it is part of the human nature to think about the future. I think I should appreciate the present more doing this would give me d clarity of mind about the future.

The most effective way to get to enjoy true happiness and inner peace in the future is to build the habit of surrounding yourself with positivity and also by picking motivation from other people's sources of happiness. When you think positively about what is to come, one can always find happiness in it when it eventually arrives.
