I hadn't heard of Doctor Demento or his show, so googled him. Interesting.
Cover of The Rolling Stone by Dr Hook - classic. Good references to Rock 'n' Roll lifestyle cliches.
Best Dr Hook lyric: "When you're in love with a beautiful woman. It's hard."
It sure is.
"Eno Collaboration" by HMHB mocks the pretentions of the kinds of artistes who do collaborations with Brian Eno, but I won't link to it here as I've probably done too much HMHB already.

Here's a local band that I've seen performing a few times in local pubs, playing at the venue where I'm going to be getting married next year:
I'd like to book them for the event but sadly they seem to have broken up.
Agreed. For me Yes, especially early Yes gave my ears that challenge that they so craved. Whilst many of my contemporaries were turning their heads to mush with ABBA and Disco, I was going the headphone crash out with those complex sounds.

Here's the Irish singer Sibéal with the great folk song The Wind that Shakes the Barley. Isn't it wonderful?
I recommend her entire album simply titled "Sibéal", which contains songs sung in English and ones sung in (Irish) Gaelic. Speaking of (Irish) Gaelic, can you pronounce her full name Sibéal Ní Chasaide correctly? Good luck!
