I only ever heard of Focus via the longstanding tongue-in-cheek hatred of Prog Rock from Half Man Half Biscuit. "Are you knackered man? No, I'm Jan Akkerman."

Although now I come to think of it, I do remember this track because of the crazy yodeling.

Joseph Cotten is a distant relative of mine. "Citizen Kane" and "The Third Man" are both amazing movies. He had many other movie and TV roles, some good, some cheesy.

A terrific prog tune. Trick of the Tail is my favourite Genesis album. I loved the way Phil sang on the album but I'll agree that Nad does a great job and sounds a tad more comfortable with the high notes than the others.

Agreed. For me Yes, especially early Yes gave my ears that challenge that they so craved. Whilst many of my contemporaries were turning their heads to mush with ABBA and Disco, I was going the headphone crash out with those complex sounds.

You'd think the obvious name choice for a "Yes" tribute band would be "No". But I can't see any.

I was especially dark on disco because piped music increasingly took over venues that once hosted live music. Events that focused at least somewhat on art were reduced to meat markets.

Still, my tastes are mellowing with age, and these days I especially love me some Jean Luc Ponty:

I've read somewhere that the band called Television Personalities, who sang "I know where Syd Battett Lives" toured with Pink Floyd in the 80's, but they gave out Syd Battett's address on stage, so they were dropped. I think the rest of Pink Floyd were quite protective of poor old Syd.
