Thanks FrankSophia. I will try that. I will try try to focus on travelling faster than light in a vacuum. And slower. I will then try to stop my mind from lingering on these polarities. I will try to imagine being so small that I am less than the Planck length but bigger than the any imaginable multiverse. I will try to reach an understanding of what it would mean to be an all powerful being who wants to move an object heavier than an all powerful being could move. All these polarities I will try to free myself from.

Wish me luck. It's not going to be easy. I don't know whether it's even possible.

I just gave you the practice that worked for me.

The only mistake I've made is that actually Heraclitus is the first to make Logos supreme, not the Stoics...

Never the less the only unique aspect of the Christian narrative is that now it's specific to Jesus alone while prior it was just the nature of all sages... although here we see things like 1 Corinthians 2:12-16 and 1 Corinthians 12:12-27 that suggest the Christian understanding is just stupid and that actually the texts are conveying the same as Plato to a Jewish audience.

There is again also John 17:20-26 along with Galatians 3:20 and 3:28-29 that essentially convey henosis.

Of course every saint across Catholicism and Orthodoxy is basically just applying Plotinus to their doctrines to pretend they're intelligent, all mysticism comes from him along with monastic and ascetic lifestyles that led to the Desert Fathers etc...

The result of ignoring him is Protestantism, no spirituality at all... just hatred of all that disagree.

I'd rather engage from realization, but most here don't even accept the possibility.

Again, for me that ceases to be philosophy at all.

This forum thus doesn't satisfy what I was looking for.

But life, at least the intellectual life, is all about speculation. Speculation is all we have until questions become empirically tractable so they can be further elucidated by science. Indeed, on this reading, speculation is philosophy's very raison d'etre. On questions about the universe and our place in it, we have only philosophy and then science. Mysticism cannot help us. It can, however, help us accept that, as limited beings, we can never know everything. Mediation can help us be at ease with that knowledge. But it cannot replace philosophy and science. And it doesn't need to. It is not supposed to. And expecting it to do so devalues it.

If this forum does not satisfy, then there are plenty of others that deal in mysticism. But mystical insights have a place on philosophy forums because philosophy does not have all the answers. I hope you will continue to provide those mystical insights here.

I have said the point of philosophy is henosis.

Until this sinks in for you we have no basis for dialog.
