I've just this minute discovered that for years I've been mishearing the lyrics from the song "Ohio", written by Neil Young and performed by Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young. I thought it said "War dead in Ohio". It actually says "Four dead in Ohio", presumably quoting a newspaper headline. I assumed it was "war dead" because I assumed Young was suggesting that the shooting of those students at Kent State was an act of war by the US government against its own people. Well I never. You learn something new everyday.
