The world today is a never-sleeping, never-resting one, thanks to digital developments. People are always connected and constantly bombarded with calls, messages, notifications, etc., leading to neural saturation. This has ultimately led humans to never-ending mental exhaustion, which has caused various new (or recurring) mental health issues.
Who should intervene, or be morally obliged, to prevent this from happening? Should the government interfere? Should big tech companies respect individual privacy more and stop sending unnecessary notifications to consumers, which are solely aimed at gaining profits? Or, as always, does this burden also have to be borne by individuals?
