In today's world, digital communication is the norm. It has expanded our ability to form connections, avoiding all the geographical (or even social) barriers.
We are so used to 'Physical Friendships' and we really value them. Among being able to be with the others and talk in person, we are able to silently be with our friends and provide emotional support. The ability to understand and express non-verbal cues adds to the beauty of these physical connections.
When it comes to 'online friendships', it gives a different set of benefits. These can be really important to those who live in isolated areas or the ones who isolate themselves from the crowds and avoid human interactions due to social anxiety. And also, this sort of connection can lead people to be open and connected at deeper levels, as many may find it easier to open when sitting behind a screen rather than facing a fellow human being.
So, what is your opinion? Can 'Online Friendships' be as deep and meaningful as 'Physical Friendships'? Will virtual connections ever be able to replace physical connections?
What sort of human interactions do you prefer more? Why?
