I also believe that the conflict in Gaza, with the super powers of the US and Israel bent on the total destruction of the Palestinians in Gaza, viewed as lesser humans, is shining a bright light on the class war being waged by the 1% of the West.
How so?
It is clear, at least to me, that the demonstrations around the world against the US-Israel's genocide are members of the 99% class. The Ruling Class favor the genocide.
The US Ruling Class including Congress have 100% backed the genocide as do all the Ruling Class media (CNN, MSNBC, NYT, etc) while less than half of the 99% Class favor genocide. There is a class war as we watch banks, health insurers, and other major corporations raise prices and lower services for the 99% Class. There is a bipartisanship move to privatize Medicare which will gut it.
In my opinion, what is happening in Gaza is deeply wrong and constitutes Crimes Against Humanity.
However, who is trying to ban social media? I don't see any talk of banning Facebook or the other platforms. The US seems to have security concerns about Tik Tok and wants it divested from ByteDance. But the Gaza war is all over the various social Media platforms.
You also say that we are witnessing a "class war" of the ruling class against the 99% of people who are the non-ruling class. And you say that the "ruling class" is in favor of the war in Gaza whilst the 99% are against it.
I'd like to ask you about the source of these statistics. Who compiled them? And can you tell us who precisely is the ruling class? What are the qualifications for inclusion into the ruling class?
These are my observations and opinions.
With regard to TikTok, the The House just passed legislation that could ban TikTok in the US unless the app divests its Chinese parent company, ByteDance. Our government looking out for us? I don't think so. They won't even bother with helping us with the healthcare crisis where people's live are at stake. No TikTok is embarrassing the government by showing what is really happening in Gaza which is counter to what the IDF feeds CNN.
If TikTok does part ways with ByteDance, it looks to me like a great business opportunity for someone in the US Ruling Class.
Other social media outlets also provide stories that are contrary to the government message and may themselves be looked at to be controlled.
With regard to a Class War, if you don't recognize such, I doubt I can present anything to change your mind. I will point out that the millions around the world protesting against the genocide by US/Israel are not of the Ruling Class.
