Philosophy Discussion Forums | A Humans-Only Club for Open-Minded Discussion & Debate

Humans-Only Club for Discussion & Debate

A one-of-a-kind oasis of intelligent, in-depth, productive, civil debate.

Topics are uncensored, meaning even extremely controversial viewpoints can be presented and argued for, but our Forum Rules strictly require all posters to stay on-topic and never engage in ad hominems or personal attacks.

Discuss philosophical questions regarding theism (and atheism), and discuss religion as it relates to philosophy. This includes any philosophical discussions that happen to be about god, gods, or a 'higher power' or the belief of them. This also generally includes philosophical topics about organized or ritualistic mysticism or about organized, common or ritualistic beliefs in the existence of supernatural phenomenon.

Something exists if opinions still remain or else there would be a cancelling out of opinions and there would be silence.Something doesn’t cease to exist because it is silent.

That doesn’t mean that that something is necessarily alive.

A biological computer brain is a machine with dualistic reasoning because it doesn’t know whether it exists or not with it’s binary programming. It is only an organ after all.

Dualistic processing/reasoning is a reality.

But there is a definition but not universally agreed.

There is a motor mind element to our make up which adopts dualistic (binary processing reasoning/logic).This is the automated part of our make up. Dualistic processing/reasoning is a reality therefore. The automated part of our make up will default us back to the non automated part of our make up as and when required. Most are unaware of this. There is also a separate part of our make up which, if aware, can override the automated part of our make up and introduce CONTROL of the process.

If you don't believe this then what can I say other than don't believe it if you don't want to.

Personally, I don't associate the SELF (I am) with the dualistic motor mind part of my make up.

Not quite, since there isn't universal agreement, there are almost as many definitions as humans.

You cannot cancel out the equal but opposite electromagnetic forces in the cosmos as atheism claims, all you can do is balance these forces by the formula +/-=+/- so metaphysical entities are directly associated with the physical.

Pass an electrical signal through the brain and it has a sinusoidal output waveform because of the the vibratory balanced electromagnetic forces in the cosmos. The electrical signal comes under the influence of push/pull forces.

The same principle applies to light wave particles passsing through space. The light wave particle comes under the influence of the same push/pull forces.

What has belief or non belief got to do with sound philosophy and science or two equal but opposite electromagnetic forces that cannot be cancelled out?

Are you so unaware?

Leave belief or non belief out of it.
