No.

Anti-Semitism is entrenched in the UN. https://www.adl.org/resources/backgroun ... i-semitism

The Netanyahu extreme right nationalist regime is not the nation of Israel.

Israel has no legal right ((let alone no moral right) to do what it is doing to people in Gaza.

Israel- under -the- Netanyahu -regime is de facto more aggressive than any terrorist group. It's incorrect to identify Israel with its present regime , or with Jews and Judaism.

You need to be very wary of your chosen source, Sy Borg. I looked at the link you supplied and saw no affiliation to a good university or other reputable educational establishment.
Hamas had no legal right to kill over a thousand Israeli civilians and kidnap and torture hundreds of others either.

Netanyahu is less extreme than Hamas, and at least he doesn't sanction throwing gays off buildings. If Hamas had the Israel's means, Israel would have been lets a smoking ruin long ago.

After seeing the extreme anti-Semitic attitudes of Ivy League university leaders, right up there with the obvious anti-Semitism in the UN, the major universities cannot be relied on in any topic that has anything to do with politics. One is left to use one's judgement. I'm old and experienced enough not to need warning about sources.

Are you denying that Secretary Ban Ki-Moon himself acknowledged a problem with anti-Semitism in the UN? They had people celebrating after the Hamas attack. They had people convinced of playing part in the attack. They had many others who were coordinating with Hamas behind the scenes. They have a standing item on Israel but they have no standing item on other nations - not Russia, Iraq, Syria, Yemen, Central African Republic, South Sudan ...

In fact, the UN's corrupt over-focus on Israel due to its anti-Semitism left the way open for many of these other disaster zones to unfold unchecked. Israel has done plenty wrong, but so has Palestine - and neither is causing as much suffering as some of these other conflicts that are being ignored by those who are supposed to act as watchdogs.
Reputable universities are the best repositories of facts. This not the same as claiming any repository of knowledge is infallible.

Naturally I'd rather live in Israel than under Hamas rule , the Israeli culture is so much more like what I have been accustomed to. Like many Israelis I'd prefer that its rulers were not performing illegal or immoral acts .

Revenge is immoral and illegal in civilised societies , and does not constitute a mitigating factor in judging illegal or immoral behaviour by states or citizens.
The Arabs had previously scoured the Middle east of Jews, scattering them in other countries. Check the former Jewish populations of Arab countries and compare with current. So, after WWII, the west told the Arabs that they had to compromise and leave a small sliver of land for the Jews. Since then, Arabs have waged non-stop war on Israel, and refused all peace deals. It's such a bitter ancient enmity that Arabs cannot compromise or be expected to be rational. It's like trying to talk Greeks into respecting Turks - you might as well ask mongooses and cobras to be friends.

But they turned against him when further comments came to light relating to Jewish people controlling the (UK) media from the shadows.

I think they are let us say, having a strong influence – but not from the shadows. You can google all the stars and media personalities and see where the influences are, I been doing it for years. My grandmother [patriarchal] was Jewish and so I want to know what the truth is. There are a lot more Jews in powerful positions than the global percentage of 0.04%.

my point is that questions should be asked, gotta keep them on their toes and not cower to anti-Semitism being used for propaganda and as a weapon.

------------------------------

I don’t know what to do about enemies who are intent on ones blood. Though if Hamas can be separated from the Palestinians and destroyed, then it has to be done. Then the settlers will move in and Gaza will be another west bank.

See; if it were true that the Israelis pulled their security forces back, especially from around a concert? Then this didn’t need to happen. Then again, what can happen?

Stoppelmann wrote: February 17th, 2024, 7:12 am Criticism of an apartheid regime led by known racist colonisers who declared their intention decades ago, which agrees with dissident Israeli criticism, cannot be antisemitic. Then, the dissidents would be antisemitic themselves. These criminals have even posted videos of their crimes on the internet, but we have to keep silent? No way!
But it is Israel and the Zionist who are the ones throwing the accusations of antisemitism to their critics.
And when those critics are Jews - they are called "self loathing" Jews.

Sy Borg wrote: February 17th, 2024, 6:48 pm There's an entire Wiki article called "Jewish exodus from the Muslim world". It goes through each Arab nation's highly successful efforts to purge themselves of Jews.
Didn't those Jews, or at least some of them, leave their current homes to move to the newly-established state of Israel? The article you reference appears to say so...?

Hamas broke international laws too, although the corrupt UN denies this on a technicality. Most here seem to think it's just fine to send missiles to kill over a thousand Israeli civilians and to kidnap and tortures hundreds more. Israel should have just taken their punishment quietly and invited more because they deserve it, right? That is what you are implying.

Besides dozens of nations are breaking international laws and the corrupted UN does not care because it just wants to stop Jews. Note, that great bastion of peace, China, has been most vocal in criticising Israel. In the meantime, they invade the territorial waters of Philippines, Vietnam and others with impunity.

Then again, they made a deal with Hamas who have publicly endorsed China's genocide of Uyghurs - which, of course, is just fine and in accordance with international law, which is why the UN has stopped criticising, and even rejected debates about what's happening.

As is Hamas breaking international law - although you would argue that it's not technically international and that Israel has no right of self defence.

Yet China, Russia, Sudan, Syria, Iraq break international laws with impunity. Why are Jews always singled out, despite being a long way from the worst offenders.

Besides, International law is a joke. The UN has been infiltrated by Arab blocs, hence many of its members supporting the Hamas terrorist attack on civilians, and a dozen even taking part! And these are the people who are making the rules? Not that China and Russia have ever cared about international rules as it applies to them, only others. Russia's and China's allies don't care about the rules either, and many of them are dictatorships.

In the past the term "anti-semitism" referred to the longstanding and historic persecution of Jews, typically used by third person observers/commentators.

Currently it's use has expanded to also include knee-jerk responses by Jews towards any opposition.

It is my take that Jews currently still do endure more opposition than average, though nowhere near the level of the most persecuted groups. And that true antisemitism is a minority of the opposition that the average Jewish individual is subject to. Just as all of us must address opposition for reasons other than our ancestry.

Lastly, among those groups receiving more than average persecution, Jews specifically are best positioned (economically, power dynamic wise and socially) to weather that persecution.

Thus while it is still a thing, in reality it's a much less important thing than in the past.

If only the Europeans, Americans and other foreigner were to return to their countries of origin, then Palestinians would get their land and homes back!
If only the Israeli voters would get rid of Netanyahu and his band of toxic racist zionists then they could be peace talks.
If only Netanyahu would stop pretending to give warnings, then bomb places where people had fled to.
If only they would stop blowing up; hospitals, universities, ambulances, and schools, maybe there would not be a conveyor belt of young orphans that grow up to be the next "freedom fighters" for Hamas.
