If I was to introduce someone to KC, I think I might begin with In the Wake of Poseidon. Nicked themes from classical music reworked beautifully, featuring (possibly) the best drummer ever: Michael Giles. Music is all about opinions , entertainment and enjoyment. The only thing I really HATE is when stupid people say to others "Your music is
; my music is the only good music". People said such things to me, and I reacted as most humans do/would: I stuck with what I liked and ignored their music,
which I assumed was rubbish. And it is the latter where the harm is done. Because of these scoffers, I ignored classical music entirely, and only came to discover and love (for example) Debussy when I reached 40. That was a shame.
So never tell anyone their music is
. It isn't. Their tastes are as valid as yours and mine.
End of sermon.
