I remember when I was learning to play back in junior high and high school I really had a thing for Dave Navarro's melodic structures:

Yeah, that was the summer between 6th and 7th grade.

I remember going back to it in my late 20's and realizing how much I slept on 'Rain When I Die', and the bridge on that caught me off guard all over again.
