You are describing the combination of two life forms into one, not the beginning of life itself. The sperm and egg cells were already alive at conception. Although it's true that your particular combination of DNA is unique to you, the life force which powers your body, may be traced back in an unbroken stream, through all of your ancestors.

I had already described 'life'... energy, water, fire, meets physical. Energy, water, and fire meets matter, creating a reaction, hence 'life'.

But back on topic, before the mods come and delete all of our discussions again.. Big Bang theory. Do you have any theories of your own regarding it?

Of course I know the egg and sperm have a history. That history is in the bodies of ancestors. The question was when did my life begin, or yours. Two life forms, or two halves of the same life form? Each half cannot live unless they unite. The big bang is no different, something united to create the big bang. Whatever came together is what started the big bang.

Well isn't this simply your opinion and not a fact? Because many people claim that life does not begin at conception, and would say that life begins at birth. Or maybe life begins on your 7th birthday.

How is your claim objective or universal? Even granting you the benefit of the doubt, and accepting you came into existence (magically?) at conception, then is the beginning of your life also the beginning of all life? Or isn't it true that your "beginning" does not the beginning of the whole?

This should lead you to a better understanding to how the Big Bang Theory is completely false and fraudulent.

I am not a fan of the big bang theory, I just commented that it could be the way God created life to start.

Notice, I did say my personal life began------ . I assume yours did too? Birth is impossible without the conception/womb time of a living entity. As far as I know all humans experience life beginnings this way. Magically?? Not sure why you threw that in.

I am theist and believe God created, whatever way he did it, and the big bang is not out of the realm of possibility.

Not true. It can be explained, but people persist on answering grand questions with not so grand conclusions, while living no so grand lives and making no so grand decisions.

You are right Artimas, the topic is the Big Bang and what, if anything started it?

Science has been observing a universe which is expanding, with galaxy's moving away from each other. The big question is, what is the force behind this expansion? And why is this expansion speeding up as opposed to slowing down?

I like to think of the Big Bang as being the opposite side of a Big Crunch, like water going down the drain, it goes in one end, and comes out the other.

Perhaps a human life is mimicking what happens in the universe, only on a much smaller scale. At conception,there is a rapid expansion of cells until we reach adulthood and then a gradual decline until death. Perhaps the expanding universe will reach a maximum and then begin to decline, perhaps collapsing in on itself and creating a Big Crunch, only to explode out the other side into another Big Bang.

There is a beginning and end, to pretty much every story. Some stories lack endings though, but what is a story, without a beginning?

The Universe has always been there, but there is a beginning. The beginning of expansion, and us.

The Universe is built on relation and connection. The vacuum is eternal; it's the zero point that creates every other point that is finite by design. The child is infinite when they do not make any choice, allowing them to be anything they want, but relation points limit our design the more complicated we become, like when we make choices, or commitments in our lives that are eternal at the root of our experience, as every picture and page is blank underneath it all.
